Prior to going to market with My Garden System, many vegetables, herbs and flowers were tested (mostly from seeds, but some were from purchased plants) in various prototype versions of My Garden System. The testing process resulted in us knowing the right materials and sizes for building the channels to maximize root and plant health.
Below are several photographs taken during the testing phase. We found that the productivity of the plants in My Garden System was greater than plants grown from the ground. Why? Less competition from weeds for nutrients, fewer pests and diseases that destroy root systems and soil that is surrounded by a system that warms up sooner than ground dirt and maintains moisture with wicking fabric and mulch. In the Spring of 2012, Cornell University students will be testing My Garden System as well to measure results and productivity independently. We look forward to sharing their results.
